Number one New York Times best-selling author Sarah J. Maas launches her brand-new CRESCENT CITY series with House of Earth and Blood: the story of half-Fae and half-human Bryce Quinlan as she seeks revenge in a contemporary fantasy world of magic, danger, and searing romance.   “House of Earth and Blood is a gamechanger! A must read. Sarah J. Maas has set the new standard with this book.” —#1 NYT bestselling author J. R. Ward “Tender, funny, frustrating, hot, and satisfying Modern day paranormal mixed with good old-fashioned fantasy of truly epic proportions.” —#1 NYT bestselling author Laurell K Brand: Bloomsbury USA.

The woe focuses on the sordid character of Nineveh. The words blood, lies, plunder, and victims summarize the wickedness of the inhabitants of Nineveh. Nineveh fully deserved her punishment. Skillfully Nahum used poetic structure to enhance the violence of the assault. The siege took about two and a half months, but it is condensed here as a moment of time. I wanted more. So I got Big City, Bad Blood. This is Chercover's debut novel. But it reads like the work of a seasoned author. The characters are believable, the story is fast-paced, the action is exciting. Now it's time to move on to the follow up to this book (Trigger City), and look forward to Sean's new book this summer (The Devil's Gane)/5().

Spoilers ahead for House of Earth and Blood When I saw the November release date for this, I died a little inside. Then, I remembered that ACOTAR #4 has a release date and this book is probably going to end up being + pages!/5.

House of Earth and Blood is the first book in a new adult series called Crescent City. The book follows Bryce Quinlan, a half fey living the life of a party girl with her best friend and roommate. The bulk of the city was underground, roughly five thousand feet below the center of Wanlai Caves. The walls of the city were made entirely out of dark green stone, which possessed a similar Origin Energy absorption properties as the ground, and thus also its resilience.

In terms of pure defensive power, these walls were no weaker than Sky City. I know a lot of us were expecting House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City) to be good, but I have to say, this book actually exceeded my expectations. I usually spend time making detailed notes while reading a book but, at one point, I opened Notes on my computer just to type "oh fucking god, this is so good".
